When Maria and Caleb booked me to photograph their wedding I knew scheduling an engagement session with them would be difficult. Maria and Caleb live in Chicago and Maria works in the wedding industry, so finding time when they would be in the Cleveland area when I was available was going to be a challenge. After some back and forth, I threw out the idea of me heading to Chicago on a weekday to meet up with them and do the session there. I loved the idea of getting some non-Ohio work in my portfolio, and it made it easier for Maria and Caleb with their busy schedules.
We began our evening at Maria and Caleb’s apartment with their two dogs. After a few quick “family” photos with their fur babies, we headed out towards Millenium Park and the waterfront. There are so many little nooks and crannies throughout the Millenium Park area. We didn’t have to walk far in between photo opportunities. We made a stop at Buckingham Fountain and then headed off towards the Planetarium to get some photos with the city skyline as our backdrop. As the sun began to set, Maria and Caleb switched outfits and we headed into the city and the riverwalk. with the bright city lights in the background, we got some amazing nighttime shots of the happy couple.
I cannot wait for Maria and Caleb’s wedding day. They were so much fun to work with during their engagement session, I just know their wedding is going to be amazing.
