Lori and Jake decided to split their wedding into two days. Their ceremony was held on a special date, with just a few family and friends in attendance at Nuevo Modern Mexican & Tequila Bar on the shore of Lake Erie. Later that week, the couple donned their wedding attire once more to celebrate with a larger group of friends and family at Club Walden in Aurora, Ohio.
This wedding was especially special for me since Lori and Jake’s officiant was one of my former brides, Becky, whose wedding I photographed in 2014, and whose family I photographed just this spring. It’s always great to see past clients again, especially when their family is growing.
After Lori and Jake’s first look on the East 9th St. Pier, we wandered around Voinovich Park for some Bridal Portraits. As is typical of Cleveland, we were treated to bright blue skies which transitioned into overcast, and then, of course, rain. During their ceremony at Nuevo, a large storm rolled in, making for a pretty dramatic backdrop over the lake.
On Saturday, when we met up at Club Walden, we took a few photos on the course before the festivities began. We are the Radio kept the dance floor rocking all night with their special blend of high-energy tunes.
