Rebecca and David | A Grand Pacific Junction Wedding

When I first met with Rebecca and David last September, I was immediately drawn to their upbeat personalities and their love for one another. Fast-forward to a few weeks before their wedding, and I could tell through her emails that Rebecca was getting a little nervous. We set up a time to talk on the phone. Just before we got on the phone, I realized that I never sent her my information and timeline PDF. As soon as she saw the detail outlined in the PDF, I could hear the relief in her voice.

Fast-forward again to their wedding day, and that same energetic and fun-loving personality was just as evident as the day we met over Zoom. Rebecca has the most infectious smile I have ever seen. You cannot help but smile when you are around her. Even their DJ commented on it in the middle of their reception.

When I arrived, we gathered Rebecca’s dress, jewelry, and details to photograph while the girls ate lunch. When David and the guys arrived, we grabbed a few quick photos outside with them while the girls got dressed. Originally, Rebecca had planned on getting dressed at the Chapel instead of at the hotel. When I suggested that getting into her dress at the hotel would give her more time to get dressed, she was immediately on board. Not only did this little change give her more time, but it also gave us an opportunity to capture her walk from the hotel to the chapel.

Rebecca and David opted to do a “first touch” where they don’t see each other before the wedding, but get to share a moment where they can hold hands around a corner. This little moment was so touching and emotional. I truly enjoyed capturing that little moment for them.

Due to a few unforeseen issues, we had very little time for romantic bridal portraits after the ceremony. Thankfully, the walk from the chapel back to the hotel was the perfect setting for the fastest bridal portrait session I have ever done on a wedding day! We made use of the cute little shops along the way as a background and used several other storefronts in the Grand Pacific Junction shopping district for some relaxed and creative photos.

After dinner, the couple partied with friends and family late into the night with tunes provided by DJ Ted Karter of Soundproof Entertainment. Just as the bride and groom were ready to head out for the night, everyone lined the walkway outside of the hotel with sparklers for a fun sendoff.

Congratulations Rebecca and David! Here are a few of my favorite photos from your day.
