Melissa and Cody first contacted me back in January of 2020 to photograph their wedding later that year. As we all know, 2020 had other plans for us. Due to the pandemic, and concerns for Melissa’s father who was diagnosed with ALS, we rearranged things a bit and did a micro-wedding on their original wedding date so that her father could be there and walk her down the aisle. Now that the pandemic is mostly in our rear-view mirror and we can safely gather again, Melissa and Cody gathered up all of their family and friends to do it again and celebrate the way weddings are supposed to be celebrated.
Since that micro-wedding in 2020, Melissa and Cody welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. Unfortunately, Melissa’s father passed, but we were able to witness a father-daughter dance between Melissa and her father by video. It was a bitter-sweet moment and there was not a dry eye in the place by the end.
Melissa and Cody, thank you for trusting me to document your wedding not once, but twice. I was honored to be able to preserve such meaningful and beautiful moments for you. Here are a few of my favorite photos from your day.
