Julie and Sean | A Briarwood Golf Club Wedding

Julie and Sean were married on a perfect summer day at Briarwood Golf Club in Broadview Heights, Ohio. Their ceremony was officated by Sean’s Uncle and Godfather, Thomas, who was entertaining and heartfelt throughout the ceremony. I would never had known it was his first time officiating a wedding if he hadn’t told us.

During their outdoor ceremony, Julie and Sean shared their own, unique and personal vows before they exchanged rings and shared their first kiss as husband and wife.

After a delicious meal provided by Sausalito Catering, the talented DJs from Flash Jam Entertainment got the party going right away and kept it going late into the night.

Liisa and Roland | A Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens Wedding

Liisa and Roland first contacted me last year about photographing their wedding at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, one of my favorite Northeast Ohio wedding venues. The Hall and Gardens offer so many gorgeous locations for photos. The gardens are so expansive that, despite photographing several weddings there over the past 15 years, we wandered into a spot that I had no idea even existed, the Japanese Garden.

While we did have to dodge a few raindrops after their first look, the skies cleared up for their intimate ceremony at the picturesque Tea Houses at the end of the Birch Tree Allee, officiated by Megan Tellalian of Married by Megan.

After the ceremony and a few more photos on the grounds of Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, everyone met back up for a brief reception at Fairmount Cocktail Bar in Cleveland Heights, not far from where Liisa and Roland met.

Lori and Jake | A Downtown Cleveland and Club Walden Wedding

Lori and Jake decided to split their wedding into two days. Their ceremony was held on a special date, with just a few family and friends in attendance at Nuevo Modern Mexican & Tequila Bar on the shore of Lake Erie. Later that week, the couple donned their wedding attire once more to celebrate with a larger group of friends and family at Club Walden in Aurora, Ohio.

This wedding was especially special for me since Lori and Jake’s officiant was one of my former brides, Becky, whose wedding I photographed in 2014, and whose family I photographed just this spring. It’s always great to see past clients again, especially when their family is growing.

After Lori and Jake’s first look on the East 9th St. Pier, we wandered around Voinovich Park for some Bridal Portraits. As is typical of Cleveland, we were treated to bright blue skies which transitioned into overcast, and then, of course, rain. During their ceremony at Nuevo, a large storm rolled in, making for a pretty dramatic backdrop over the lake.

On Saturday, when we met up at Club Walden, we took a few photos on the course before the festivities began. We are the Radio kept the dance floor rocking all night with their special blend of high-energy tunes.
